A few more GOP candidates have recently announced runs for the Arkansas House of Representatives as Republicans battle to gain enough seats to take the majority for the first time in modern history.  The House is currently made up of 46 Republicans and 54 Democrats.

Andy Davis announced last week that he will seek the Pulaski and Saline County District 31 seat currently held by Rep. David Sanders, who is running for the State Senate.  Davis is an engineer and owner of New Water Systems in Little Rock.  He perhaps most widely-known connection is that he is the son-in-law of the late Stanley Reed, who was known and respected around the state.
